This is a for-charity, unofficial tarot project inspired by the anime Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Our ultimate goal, submissions permitting, for this zine is to create a full physical deck, a deck guide booklet, and merchandise! The booklet for the deck will also feature fics and poems by our writers, as well as a tarot guide. Profits made will be going to the Jordan Thomas Foundation, a charity that provides support to children and families affected by limb loss.

FAQ
☆ What is a zine? A zine is a compilation of derivative works, formatted in the style of a book or magazine.☆ Will the zine be physical or digital? Will the zine be for-profit or for charity? This project will, if sales permit, be a non-profit physical production. We will be donating to the Jordan Thomas Foundation, a charity that provides support to children and families affected by limb loss. Our ultimate goal is to create a full physical deck, a deck guide booklet, and merchandise!This project is SFW with a Mature rating at the highest to allow for canon typical violence at the mod team’s discretion.☆Do I need experience in zines to participate? Previous experience is not required, but professionalism and timeliness are a must in any and all collaborative projects.☆ Will I need a Discord account to participate? Discord is our key method of communication with participants. You will be expected to create a Discord account if you do not have one already.☆ What is the minimum age to apply and be a contributor? All applicants and contributors must be 18+ at the time of applying.☆ How will contributors be compensated? Contributors will, at the minimum, be compensated with a digital copy of our zine. If sales permit, contributors may receive a physical copy of our zine and/or merch at little to no cost.☆ What is your policy on AI or traced work? We do not tolerate any form of art theft; therefore, traced work and any AI generated writing/art are forbidden. Anyone found—in or out of the project—to be using any work that is not theirs, or using any AI generated programs, will be removed from this project immediately.☆ Will I be disqualified over my personal or outside fandom preferences? No, outside works will not have weight in your application or place in the project, but keep in mind that we are a SFW project and therefore so are the spaces we create, i.e. the project Discord. We've chosen to take a neutral stance on pro-ship, but such content will not be allowed in the zine; we are SFW PG-13 in our project, creative space, and communications.We do not, however, tolerate bigotry of any kind. Anyone who is to be found committing bigoted behavior and rhetoric will be removed from the project at any time during the project. We expect every applicant to understand this and to be on their best behavior.☆ Can my contribution be an older, previous piece? No—all contributors are required to create new pieces dedicated to the project’s theme.☆ Do I retain rights to my contribution? Yes, all contributors retain the rights to their pieces at all times; however, we ask that all contributions are withheld from public and commercial distribution until the mod team has given a release date, usually during leftovers or after the completion of the project.☆ I have more questions. Application Guidelines
GENERAL
☆ Applicants and contributors may not submit work of any kind that involves AI assistance. Any found use of AI—in and out of the project—will result in being removed from the project at any time.☆ Applicants must be 18+ at the time of applying.☆ Please make sure that all links provided are public and require no permission to view. The mod team will not reach out to the applicant. You can double check your links by using incognito mode.☆ All samples must not be rated higher than Mature as this project is strictly SFW.☆ Any failure to abide by the guidelines will result in your applicant being rejected.
WRITER
☆ Must provide THREE (3) of your best individual samples via links.☆ One of these three pieces must be a completed piece.☆ FMA pieces are not required but highly encouraged!☆ Each sample must be between 500-750 words—there is no leeway.☆ You may provide a portfolio of your work. This can also be a social media link (i.e. Instagram, Twitter).
ARTIST (Card, Cover, & Merch)
☆ Must provide THREE (3) of your best individual samples via links.☆ FMA pieces are not required but highly encouraged!☆ We also encourage works that demonstrate your ability to compose a complete character-based illustration.☆ You may provide a portfolio of your work.
